Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using YUM (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. The App

YUM is a free app that lets you post images and text to a feed, track food and calories you log, and create and share grocery lists with other users. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

  1. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App.

  • You create an account using Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your Apple account secure and for all activity under your account.

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

  1. User Content

  • What you post. You retain ownership of the images, text, food entries, and grocery lists you create ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it within the App for the purpose of operating and improving the App.

  • Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for Your Content. You agree not to post anything that:

    • Is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening

    • Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights

    • Contains malware or is intended to disrupt the App

    • Impersonates another person

    • Is sexually explicit or exploits a minor in any way

  • Removal. We may remove any content or suspend any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice, at our discretion.

  • Feed visibility. Content you post to the feed may be visible to other users. Don't post anything you don't want others to see.

  • Sharing grocery lists. When you share a list with another user, you are responsible for choosing who you share it with. We are not responsible for what a person you share a list with does with that information.

  1. Calorie and Food Tracking

The calorie tracker lets you log food and quantities for your own reference. Calorie and nutrition values, whether entered by you or estimated by the App, may be inaccurate or incomplete.


The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice. Do not use it as a substitute for professional advice from a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified provider. Consult a professional before making decisions about your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating. Use of the calorie tracker is at your own risk.

  1. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

  • Attempt to access another user's account without permission

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the App

  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks

  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App without our written permission

  1. Third-Party Services

The App uses Sign in with Apple and Google Firebase to operate. Your use of these services is also subject to Apple's and Google's own terms. We aren't responsible for the availability or performance of these third-party services.

  1. Intellectual Property

The App itself — including its design, logo, and code (excluding Your Content) — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without our permission.

  1. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content (including calorie/nutrition data) is accurate.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katarina Markina will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App, including reliance on calorie/nutrition information or content shared by other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed ($50 / the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, which is $0 for a free app).

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

  1. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Upon termination, Sections 7–9 and 12 survive.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. If the laws where you reside require agreements with consumers to be governed by the local laws, then Section 11 does not apply to you.
